Air Conditioning ??'s

I have a 93 x chp lx and the a/c feels weak. Can I recharge it myself or how much is it gonna cost me to get it recharged? I am in California, I don't know if that matters. Thaks

Search for a a/c question by me. I converted by 92 GT to the new gas and the A/C blows cold air. Cost less than $40 worth of parts and I did it myself in my driveway.
