Gears are in.
I just got my 3:73 gears in yesterday and love them even though I havnt gotten on the throttle I can still feel a big difference I just have two questions, One is it ok to start from 2nd cause first gear is over pretty quick and Two how long should I break them in before I can get back on the highway and get on it?

Don't start in second at a full stop on a nondownhill. At declines and yield signs then it's alright. You'll burn your clutch up otherwise. I would give 500 miles before you should get on it hard but the freeway is fine now.

Alot of extra force on the clutch... when you engauge that clutch it's only friction that keeps it pressed up against the engine's output... why not start in 5th gear... you'll get going eventualy... it's amatter of least amount of wear on the clutch.. I'm assuming that's why he says that... it'll wear out the clutch faster then if you started it in first.. but HOW MUCH? I dunno.. might be negligable .. might be noticable... not sure on the figures... that's my guess...

You'll get used to first gear with the new gears. I know what you mean, it feels like an import going through the gears so fast. But isn't is great punching second gear at 20-30 mph? That was the biggest difference for me going from 2.73s to 3.55s. My second gear on the 2.73s is like third on the 3.55s. The only thing is, when on a fast highway at 80 or so, you'll wish you had another gear.

I'm currently running 3.55's, but am seriously thinking of going to 3.73's. I do most of my driving (fun driving/cruising, not commuter) on the street w/ 2-3 trips to te track annually. Will 3.73's be that bad....that I'll be getting out of 1st THAT much sooner than w/ the 3.55's??? :(

to tell you the truth i dont think the switch would be worth the money. your not gonna notice that much of a difference. i would go from 3.55's to 4.10's if i were you though.
