Cool Gears Vs tires (Vs) more gear and tire

I wonder off into lala land with this all the time. I am by far not the smartest or the most experianced. Mabey someone can help. Here it is. If a man has 373 gears and a 26 tall tires. Lets say he crosses at 6000 and runs say 12.50 @ 108. Now, change the gear to where he can run a 29 tall tire and still cross at 6000. What will happen? Better 60ft? Better ET? More MPH? OK now if you go bigger with both where do you have stop. when will it have a negative effect. I am at all cost striving for the best ET that I can get with the motor I have. A small 270 HP. Thanks for all replys, Jason.

Cool

No Replys? WOW OK here is another question, I crossed on the rev limiter at 111 mph. What is the best thing to do, more tire or less gear?

Default

If you can go more tire..go more tire. If you can't cut back on the gear or put a higher chip in your rev limiter.

Cool

I do have plans on getting the speed density computer worked on. I was going through old MM&FF mags and saw a place that does it. One of the things done was raise the rev limit. But for now my combo is finished before 6250rpms, at least I think it is anyway. Of course it surprises me regularly.
