Post going crazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car will run good sometimes and sometimes it will run like crap. Within a second it will be fine then go to crap. It feels like that there is no timing, very sluggish. But a second later it will run good. I have good fuel pressure, new plugs, cap rotor wires. New o2 sensors. It doesnt matter if it is wide open throttle or not. Also there are no codes stored. It seems that there is two different motors in this car and the car decides to pick what one it wants to use. A stock motor or the one that i have in it. I have no idea what is going on. Never had this happen to it before. Any ideas ?????

Just my shot in the dark, but maybe put a fresh fuel filter in and maybe upsize the thickness of your wires to make sure it's not crossfiring. Could also be vacuum or electric, check all of your grounds and for broken vacuum lines. Good luck

Yeah, I was thinking about the fuel filter too. Its weird, when it runs like crap it really doesnt. Its just a lot slower, no sputtering or misfiring. Maybe the injectors are going bad or just cant handle it anymore. I only have 19 lb. injectors in it. Nowhere near enough for it. Could it possibly be the ignition module????

I don't know, it may be my non-technical expertise, but I would highly suggest you take the 'stang in for an exorcism. Look in the yellow pages... If that fails, fuel filter.

have you done anything to it lately? you might have knocked a vacum line or wire loose and it's is just enough to affect the car at certain times.

Go through and check everything. vacuum lines, loose wires in important areas, loose distributor clamp, whatever you can think of then change your fuel injectors. The engine might be starving for fuel with all your mods. I run 24lb injectors with my set up. Good Luck!

Those are all good suggestions, but I am suspicious of the TFI module. Do you ever experience a no start condition, or has the engine just quit running?

Take care,
-Chris

It started doing this after i put the heads and cam in it. I checked all the grounds and vaccum lines. i dont think its an intake vaccum leak because it did the same thing after changed intakes. The injectors are the stock ones with 168,000 miles on them. I bet thats what it is. I havent had any problems with it cutting off or hard starting. I need 24 LB injectors anyway so im going to replace them this week.

WHOOOOOAA, I finally got a code. I decided to check the codes one more time and i have one code. 67 neutral drive swich open. I dont think it will make the car doing what its doing though. Will this swich being bad cause it to run bad????

Double check and make sure your A/C and/or Defrost was turned off.

Take care,
