over the winter, I'm probably going to build my motor a bit and I was wondering if anyone is running this current set-up:

motorsport E-303 cam
TrickFlow Twisted Wedge Heads with 1.6 rr
Trickflow Intake
C&L 76mm maf
70mm tb
190lph fuel pump
24lb injectors

I also have an AOD with a transgo shift kit with 3.73's. Should I get a stall converter? What would my estimated times be with this set-up? Thanks

stock short block? i would find a custom cam and not the e! have a buddy with the same combo but with an rpm intake running 12.80's with a 5 spd. hes got a stock short block with 80,000 on it, with a 150 shot he ran 12.10. hope that helps

you will need a converter man, i'm going through it now. I got a custom hughes lock-up 2800 stall w/ a PA (performance automatic) valve body. Its under-going surgrey now, i'm taking my time on it. It should be done soon. A buddy that use to post on this site, he went by TheSloAOD ran a 13.4 with a stall, full exhaust, pullies, gears, and a couple of minor bolt ons. His car weighting at 3300lbs. I think AODS are really underated. I ran mid 14's with stock tranny, 3.73's and the rest of mods. thats in my sig. You should be solidly in the 12's with that setup or better if you get the right stall converter. Converters make all the difference in the world :)

90GT Vert-

I too have a GT Vert with an AOD. Mine has 52K original miles hehe. I got my car running a 14.26@96 somehow. My only mods are BBK shorties, off-road H-pipe, 2 chamber flows, underdrives, CIA, subframes, transgo shift kit w/ FRPP 3.73's. I agree when you say the AOD is underrated. Altough, I did break mine once before.

I'll tell you how it goes when I get the stall in....I haven't started yet. I'm starting friday morning...should be done friday night :) How did you shift yours? the 1-D-1 shuffle? The valvebody I got allows me to hold it in 2nd without having it at WOT

Yes, I did the 1-D-1 shuffle. I am trying not to do it anymore because I here its the easier way to mess up the AOD. Nowadays, I am more into just flouring the gas in D, and shifting to OD on the highway. If I want to really manually shift it, I would buy a complete manual valve body.
