![]() Hey guys, i have been in the process of moving so i have been without power since the 12th. While i had this downtime i put an ACT sensor on my 86 GT and also put on the K&N Filtercharger set up, if you remember my car was cutting out and acting up so i was told to replace the ACT,
I have put on new plugs, wires, coil, ACT sensor, K&N Filtercharger and my car when accelerating still at times feels like it hits a wall, i hit the gas and it accelerates but feels like it is blocked and then it clears up and i can feel it pick up speed. What could this be? I am so frustrated now, a woman backed into my Stang at the local Wal-Mart she hit my rear drivers side, but my car was acting like this before that happened. I have been thinking about purchasing a new computer for my car and the local Ford dealer says it will run me $215 or so and swap them out. I need some advice, my budget is next to nothing i am selling stuff just to get what i have. Could it be a bad computer?

![]() Yes i changed the fuel filter also, sorry i forgot to put it in my last thread. Any thoughts?

![]() might be 02 sensors? might be the BAP(map depending on maf or SD) might be Air Temp Sensor, could be alot of things alot of cars i have riden in have a "powerband feel" like its slugish for a moment then turns on so to speak.. is the car still speed density or maf?

![]() My car is still Speed Density, i am gonna switch to mass air after i get my headers and pipe, then after the conversion i am definatley going to purchase the HolleySysteMax Package.
I drove my car yesterday and it did'nt act up any, but it was a quick run to the store and back. How much would an Air Temp Sensor run me?

![]() maybe around 50 bucks.. or so try this run a whole bottle of Octane boost w/ about 7 gallons of gas I use the one with dale Jr on the bottle.. see if that helps it, or try injector cleaner. mix it real strong you wont hurt anything..

![]() Ok i will pump some Premium(93) gas into her and pour a bottle of booster in it. What about some injector cleaner at the same time or should i do it seperate?
No i have not put the Stang on a scanner, i guess that would help. I have to run to work now and i will check back in the morning. Thanx
