I have called like 15 places and they all say NO. GRRRR...it's not like i'm gonna tell. HELP!!!

No Cats

 I know what you mean about no one working on your car being it having no cats. I tried getting it done myself through shops and no one would do it.One even said he could get fined or something. Yeah whatever. But if you can't do it, ask around, alot of people know how and will do them for much of nothing.
Thats what i ended up doing..

Yeah, smog rules really suck!!

A few things that have worked in the past, were to (1) take the H-pipe off of the car, take it to a shop, and tell them it's from a recreation vehicle that you're building, and see if they'll do it that way. (2) take your car to a po-dunk shop, walk up to a mechanic, NOT THE FRONT DESK, and say "Here's my car, here's my mufflers, here's some cash, no questions asked. When can I come pick it up?" I don't really recommend that, but it's worked for a friend of mine a couple of times. Another option is taking it to a motorsports shop if you have one in your area. Usually they don't hassle you about stuff like that, but they charge more because they know they can. Good Luck

If you can't find anything up in omaha, there's a motorsport depot in my town, Auburn. It's 60 miles straight south of omaha on highway 75. I bet the guy will do it for you for a small fee. here's his website:

http://www.motorsport-depot.com/

here's his number: 402-274-3831

hey, the town only has 3500 people, but we have a cool motorsport depot.

Try a non-automotive shop. If you can find a welding shop or even one of these guys who do mobile welding from a truck.

Those businesses usually aren't under as much pressure from the feds & fines.

Put it on a trailer, take the tag off and tell them it's a race car.:D

It really does work.

Thanks guys for your input! I'll probably just have a friend do it. I was highly considering HP motorsport but I know they would of bent me over...soo...I decided against that option.

Move to S.C. we don't have any type of emissions or pollutions laws here we chop and slice like there are no repercussions for anything. We don't even have a vehicle inspection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly. If the vehicle arrives on a trailer, and doesn't have any plates on it, the shop owner can't get in trouble for modifying it. Unless you say something. Then, as far as he knows, you could be an inspector laying a trap for him.

Take care,
