Default GT-40 install help

I recently picked up a GT-40 upper and lower manifold second hand, but I am puzzled. All that I have is the upper and lower intake plus a vacuum tree.

When I am looking at the underside of the upper intake, there are 4 threaded holes, two on the middle underside of the tubular section. It's obivious that the vacuum tree goes there on one side, but what goes on the other? Do I plus the other one?

On the upper section, one of the holes has a threaded plug in place, and the other is open. Do I plug the open one too?

Does anyone have any install experience with this intake? Any help is appreciated.

Very simple there isnt exactly set rules on how to route your vacuum lines. Just plug the holes you dont use.

Doesn't the MAP sensor go in one of those?

I posted a how to article with pics a couple of years ago here in windsor power.

Do a search and you might find it.

No, seriously! I'm a "carb" guy, and trying to learn about this new fangled (20 years now! LOL) fuel injection. Is the MAP sensor supposed to go in there, or is that a Speed Density thing?

Just curious!!

I only know of the act sensor in the lower, your swap should be pretty straight forward.

It's been years now since I installed my GT-40 intake, and although I can't remember all the details, I do remember plugging one of the ports there.

You can tap the upper to put the AIT sensor there but it's easier to just use the air inlet tube. As for the vacuum lines, just like was said before. Reroute them anyway you please but you may end up having to install an Adjustable FPR and a Fuel Pressure guage. If you get more or less vacuum than stock to the FPR it will up or lower your pressure... take it from experience just go ahead and do it- good luck~

The big vacuum port on the rear goes to the brake booster
one goes to the pcv (i also use a small filter b/c it will suck oil) and one goes to my AFPR. One is plugged.
If you have a BAP sensor (I don't know what year you have) leave it open to the atmosphere.
Let me know if you need a pic...
cheers
