GT to LX how bad is it?

I have a 1990 GT and was wondering how hard it would be to convert it to an LX. I have an 89 lx coupe donor car that I got for free so rather than paying for a new front and rear bumper (they are both all wavey and the front is torn really bad) i was gonna swap the bumpers and LX moldings. Also, what is the best way to get the moldings off without messing them up?
Thanks

well, you need the bumpercovers, mouldings, a welder (for welding up the rivit holes), a grinder for grinding the welds, filler (bondo) for filling the holes, paint, sandpaper.....

i would just keep it a gt, but do as you wish.

to get the mouldings off is a ***** (and i speak from experience), you need a tool to get them off, then a heat gun to remove the double sided metal sticky tape, then clean the surface, then re-apply new double sided sticky tape.

i dont think i missed anything.

good luck

Thanks for the info Kris, Are the only moldings that i would have to change be the ones infront of and behind the doors?

you would need all new mouldings, the ones on the gt are all attached to the ground effects(except the 1s on the doors)
