				 | Hard cold starting? I have an 83' with the Stock carb 4bbl, 5.0L engine. I set the choke and go to start it. It fires right away but doesn't want to stay lit. I then start it again and it will start and I will feather it for s few seconds then it is ok. Is this how it should start? I have an electric choke on my carb. Are these carbs known for harder cold starts? Warm starts are fine. If this isn't normal is there anything I can do to get better cold starts, turn the key and the carb takes care of the rest? Would I need to change the carb? Thanks. I was told it is a 4180-C. The #'s I got off of my carb are: list 50117 E3ZE-9510-BGA |
