![]() I am assembling a 1968 289 after a full rebuild/machining. When I press the harmonic balancer onto the crank, it "bottoms-out" about 3/16" before the end of the crank. That is, the end of the crank is recessed 3/16" from the inner face of the harmonic balancer where the washer sits. Is this correct or should the washer sit completely against the end of the crank??
thanks a million for any help... John |
