Default Having trouble putting in My NOS Kit

I just got my kit today. wanted to start putting it together but it seems most of the threads on the fittings aren't very well matched, i had to turn extreamly hard to get the TEE fitting in the solinoid and it only went in about half way after that. Anyone else have this prob? I don't really feel like tapping all the fittings, any suggestions?
