Default head ?

will heads off an 87 5.0 fit an 85 5.0. the car is a stock 5 speed.

They should fit as far as I know. I think PV clearance is okay on that engine. The 86 had the flat top pistons and it fits on the 86, so I would think it will fit on the 85.

Yes they will, a friend of mine just did this swap for his brother. Even put on 1.7RR's and the PV clearance was still fine.
