Default Control Arms???

I can only afford one set upper or lower. What will make the biggest difference? The suspension is stock except for the shocks Koni adj. up front and KYB in back and I'm running Nitto drag's. Thanks guys

Most people say the lowers definately make the biggest difference. Throw some poly bushings in the stockers, works well for most cars on a budget. My experience was that upper and lower control arms(UPR) are overrated. Thought the stock ones with GOOD bushings worked as well.

i posted in a similar question, this is what srv1 told me:

Rear:
lower control arm bushings(poly or stock rubber)
upper control arm bushings on axle(use stock rubber!)
upper control arm bushings on control arm(use stock rubber!)

when i asked him why, this was his reply:

"cause of the postion of the upper control arms, the poly's will actually make it bind and that is what you dont want. if your drag racing, then you can get away with it. for cornering, its a no no. depends how you set up your car. you can use poly's in the upper, but the car will actually handle better with the stock bushings in the upper. the lower you can go poly."

hope this helps.

There is a guy on ebay that sells the upper and lower control arms for $149.00 for the set. They come with poly bushings.

Cool

My 60fts are not the best in the world but they are good for me. I have a best of 1.544 on 26 inch slicks, and 1.70 on grand spirits. I have stock arms with poly bushings in every hole. I did plate my stock arms (boxed) I like it, I don't see the use in waisting more money in that area.
