head light probs(low beams)
I have got a problem with my headlights. All of the lights work except the low beams. I do not know where to look for the solution. Like I said the only lights that are not working are the low beams. When I test the bulb direct to the battery both high and low work. All of the wiring tests good at the connectors. I am lost at this point.

It might be the relay?
Ny the way, can someone tell me where the relay is physically located? My low beams flash on and off every once in a while and I think that's it. |
I don't think that it is the relay because it is still clicking and all the other lights work(turn, parking and high beams). To answer your question the relay is under the dash to the right(passanger side) of the steering wheel. You should be able to locate it by the 'clicking' sound it makes. It is on a bracket that has another relay on it and another electrical component. To get at it, the easiest way is to remove the small part of heating duct that warms the drivers feet, then there are 2 screws that hold it up.
Anyone else got ideas as to my probs?? |
Do your high beams come on when you flip the switch forward or when you pull the switch backward? If it's only when you pull it backward than it is probably your dimmer switch which is integrated into the turn signal switch.

The high beams function properly in both positions. That is one of the things that has me confused. I am thinking that if I replace the whole turn signal assembly that may fix the problem, but I am not too sure. Any other ideas?
