Post Head lights

i have a 72 coupe and the headlights started to come on and off. If i shut them off and waited a few seconds then they would stay on for a while then start to flicker again. After i shut the car off for about a hour and then turned them back on i didnt have a problem but nothing esle was going wrong just the lights flickering.

Headlamp switch is bad. They have a built in circuit breaker that does that.

Did you replace your headlamps with Halagen lamps?? If you did, you may continue to burn the switches out. I over came that problem by installing a small relay so the power to run the lamps doesn't go through the switch.
