Default Which headers to buy

I want to replace my stock headers. I'm considering Ford Motor Sport headers. Are these better or equal to BBK, MAC? Any recommendations? Used or new?

buy new first of all..

Dont know anything about the ford motorsport headers off-hand but I do have experience with Mac exhaust. On my present car,I have Mac 1 5/8 long tubes, next time I change exhaust on a mustang,I will choose BBK,which in my opinion is alot better quality than Mac provides.

my dad had some fms headers on his 93 corba the fit good and the welds look great but they where like $300 for shorties if but they may have went down now but the bbks r good to. i had some macs and they where junk had to pry the tubes into spot and heat with a torch to get them to fit

i have bbk's and they are great, i have just the nickel finish and after about 6 years they still look new. I wish i would have gotten the ceramic finish, but when i get my longtubes i will get them ceramic coated.

Default headers...

I have full MAC 1 5/8 equal shorties, off-road h-pipe and flowpaths. They sound great, but they were a real pain to mount to my cylinder heads. I had to loosen the motor mounts and really muscle them into position. But, that might be the case with many headers, just my experience...

I've noticed that the MAC's rust fairly soon after the install.

I have the BBK unequal shorties, they installed easily and have VERY little rust and I've had them on for over 3 years.

I'd highly suggest them,

BBK headers, but MAC the rest of the way back for me. I definately like bbk headers better than mac.

I would put FRPP headers in the same boat as BBK for quality (good, in other words). MAC's can warp and generally rust faster than other brands...I'd personally stay away from them.
