Headlight housing filling with water?
 

Whenever it rains, one of my headlights fills with water and stays full unless I remove it and pour it out. It gets all fogged up. Do I have to replace the whole housing or is there a quick fix? I don't drive the car in the rain that often but it also happens when I'm washing it. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like it has a hole in it somewhere. I've seen them fog up, even get a little water in them at the bottom, but nothing like you describe.

If worse comes to worse, you can take a small drill bit at the bottom and drill a couple little holes to let the water drain out. I did that, kept the water from building up on my old LX, but it would still fog up a little.

My 93lx is like that. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the light so it could drain out. Works good.

I had a friend with those "aqua-lenses" and he drilled a couple of holes in the bottom and it worked pretty well. I've heard you can also remove the actual glass lens from the housing, clean off the mating surfaces and resealing the housing so it is fixed and no debris or condensation can cause the bulb to burn out. Actually, the headlight doesn't fill, it just has maybe a half inch or less collected at the bottom. Thanks for the idea of drilling holes, I didn't think of that.
