Default heat spacer

will a 3/8 heat spacer (intake) clear my stock hood? Will it be enough to allow the use of tall valve covers?

it all depends on what kind of TALL valve covers, yes a 3/8 will clear, but i think it cuts it really close, on the hood and being able to use tall valve covers. i had the ford motorsport valve covers on my 89 and i needed the one inch spacer. (the ones that have ford motorsport embossed in them)
