Post Gains with MSD 6a box?

howdy,

I was wondring how much and msd box actually helps? Anyone actually seen gains by using one? Any input is appreciated.

No you really wont feel or see much IF ANY benefit from the MSD system, maybe idle might improve or throttle response.

This is really a component that is a benefit in the bigger picture. Higher Performance parts down the road (or currently, I don't know if your case) will appreciate the improved accuracy of a MSD ignition system. As they say, every little bit counts. This is one of those small 'bits' that helps when combined with several other small 'bits'.

Some may claim a tenth or two from installing an aftermarket system, but I would say their cars probably needed a severe tune-up to begin with.

I know a guy that installed one and ran the exact same.

Like stanglx347 said, the MSD box will not really give you any ET gains but it definately helps your throttle response. I "felt" the difference....but I didn't "see" it.
