Default Help!!

Alright ... well i just bought a 1994 mustang gt with only 54,000 miles on it! I had it checked out and it's not putting out nearly enough power. 0-35mph it just feels like it's lagging, the RPM's just don't rise very fast at all. they checked the exhaust and it's not restricted or anything, the ignition system is all good, the timing is all good, and when they scanned the computer it showed all the normal readings!!! I don't know what the heck is wrong with it ... it's like I bought a GT with a v6 in it! could it be that the computer is screwed up or something? any input would help PLEASE!! thanks
