Default HELP 98 Cobra Owners

I looking to find out what this part is called. If you are facing the engine bay it is located on the left side. It's a Chrome bell shaped object that is located on left front of the upper intake manifold. It has a black tube that goes to the air intake. A black box like object is in the middle somewhat. I need to know what this is and what it does. THANKS!!!
