Thank you for your replies...I am aware of lifting the pedal.I was just under the impression that there is another way by loosening the pedal, pulling up and retightening. I would use my foot to pull up....maybe I was not pulling up hard enough because I would hear no sound. I will use my hand and pull much harder this time. I will let you know if it works.
