I've been told this low a reading is probably late valve timing, does this mean the cam is off??!!??!!
Or could it be a tight valve, will a compression check tell me if it is a tight valve? I'm guessing that cylinder will have a exessivly low reading?
Will it matter if I do it with a cold engine or must it be up to temp?

Thanks

Your vacuum reading is pretty normal for a cam'd 302. A valve that is adjusted too tight will usually result in a compression reading of "0".

It wont really matter if you do the compression test cold or hot cause if you have a problem it wilkl be really obvious.
