Electrical Fuel Problems HELP!!
The problem started when I went to start the carfor the first time with the blower and when I went to KEY ON, no fuel pump whine.
Well I thought I had my fuel problem narrowed down to the following two relays, Inertia Switch, and fuel pump relay I don't have my meter at home so I can't test this tonight, but I put in a new fuel pump relay in no luck, jumpered the inertia switch no luck, jumpered between fuel pump relay and the fuel pump kicks on, So there has to be a problem at the Inertia Switch? If I am reading the FP relay correctly you need voltage across the Inertia Switch so that you can pull in the other side of the relay, when I jumper that side the fuel pump runs. So there may be a problem in the Inertia Switch line If that is correct then could I have a bad EEC Power Relay (where is that one located)? The car ran fine before I did the following; Moved battery in the trunk Drive shaft loop Moved started solenoid, to make room for procharger Installed FP gauge and boost gauge (FP Gauge is not working either) Installed P600B Installed T-Rex Played around the fuse box Horn is also not working I can’t seem to scan for codes for some reason? (another reason for bad EEC relay?) I will get my meter back tomorrow, any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

So it's a t-rex pump? i wish i could help, i would just check for voltage in my harness in the back under the bumper, but i dont have a t-rex, and i have no knowledge how they hookup, my horn went out too once, it was because i blew a fuse trying to hookup a stereo, i had to get my brother to do it before i burnt anything else......hope you find it, let us know, and i'll ask around.
Oh, my friend relocated battery in trunk, he had one of those little batteries, whatever they are called, but accidentally hooked the terminals up backwards and fried some wires in his harness, just a thought, im sure you would have known better, because you would smell burnt something.

I had to get another EEC computer they are bad about fuel problems. I did just like you and changed all the relays and still had the same problem until I bought a rebuilt EEC unit and it is working fine. Good luck.
