![]() I have the Novi 1000 kit which uses the factory serpentine system to drive the blower. I have not had any problems until this weekend, when I went through 2 pumps in 2 days. Both times it happened as soon as I got toward 6000 rpm. I go to shift, the car stalls, and there is fluid all over my engine, and the pump is locked up.
The only things I can think of are perhaps I am tightening the belt too much, or the larger 6.5" crank pulley is spinning the pump too fast. I would just go to manual steering, but I have the Motorsport A/C eliminator kit which puts the power steering pump where the A/C compressor was, and I would need some sort of idler pulley in it's place. Any suggestions? Rob
