HELP I'm getting wet
it all happend last night it was hot and really humid and kinda driziling and i decided to use the ac well it worked great, Until when i decided to take it for a drive the next morning it was once again hot so i turned on the ac, well i took a turn and probally a half of gallon of very cold water came out of the vents on to my feet where there air normaly comes out,
-is this right? -is it just because of the humidity i keep my car outside but there r no leaks that i know of also it was not antifreeze it was crystal clear and not stick at all and had no smell at all. Also i just had a new heater core installed a while ago but that wouldnt be the problem would it? I am very confused. the car is a 87 mustang, gt 5.0 no mods other than gears, shifter and o/r h-pipe thanks for ur time, much appreciated -Raini |
Sounds like the drain tube is stopped up. You'll have to get under the car, on the passenger side and find the drain. Poke a clothes hanger wire or something similar up in there to open it up.

im sorry could u explain a little bit more, i think it may be the condenser, but i could be wrong where is the drain tube
thanks alot |
there is a hole on the passenger side firewall that has a peice of rubber around it. The hole is just below A/C accumulator and if you have shorty headers look where the collector is for your pass. side, the hole sits on the firewall just behind it. You can't miss it. Once you find it poke screwdriver or something in there to unblock it.
When you run your A/C for a while the condenser will build up condensation(ie. water) and this hole in the firewall is drain so the water goes outside of the car instead of inside. |
hey thanks alot guys that was the problem
