![]() I have heard from alot of people that the 94 cobra has a bad computer. I was wondering what options i have to fix it. So far all i have heard is that i can put an aol A9L in it that will cost like 100-200 but i will need a harness for it that costs like 400 more. 600 sounds like it is more expensive than what the swap is worth. Also i have heard you can have a chip made that will fix it, but i still plan on doing some more stuff to my car, and i dont want to have to get another chip later on. Are there any other options? or is the swap really worth $600?

![]() I think chips are going for around $400 now, but it will be well worth it on your car. After you do more mods you can send the chip back to have it reburnt for a minor charge. Click here for the best mail-order chips available.

![]() I have a 93 Cobra computer is you need one. I also heard about the A9L swap, but you have to swap harness as well like Andy said.

![]() You could get an EEC tuner or twEECer then you can tune it yourself anytime you change your combo. There is a bit of a learning curve but there's a real nice group on yahoo that has tons of info. I believe the EEC tuner is around $400, you can go to www. eec-tuner.com and check it out. I gained 3 mph in the quarter in just one night at the track with mine as well as sorting out my idle issues.

![]() I don't race my car, but I have the '93 Cobra computer. MAF, and injectors. I have hammered this thing and been up to triple digit speeds plenty of times and can't find anything that indicates any less performance out of these computers. If there is a timing retard, it is not noticeable, but the rev limiter is still there. Unless you are serious down to .01 seconds, then maybe it is worth diving in to. You are probably just as well off with a chip or the TwEECer as everyone mentioned. I'd sure like to get an old Crane Interceptor just to play with it and see what difference it makes!
