Question Water Pump for 289

I am looking for a shorter water pump in order to put in my "Black Magic" electric fan. The fan does not fit with the current water pump. Any suggestions?

The older V-belt water pumps are the shortest. Also they hang a little lower than serpintine belted pumps.

I dont think there is a shorter after market one for a small block in a V-belt style.

I do know that on engines like the 460, the T-Bird pumps are alot shorter. But that dont help you.

Ever think of pushing the air? Most blades on electric fans can be turned around so it pushes air, being you have space to mount on the front of the radiator.

cya.
