Question Help setting shift points on Autometer 3911 tach

I have the 3911 model tach and have lost my instructions. Can somebody tell me how to set the shift points so the shift light comes on when I need it. Also my motor peaks out at 6000 rpm according to desk top dyno. What point should I shift? I would like to start in the ballpark.

you could go to www.autometer.com and download the instructions from there for free and you'd have them for future reference.
