![]() So I was porting my gt-40p's and went to go see if I could touch up the plug boss a bit with my dremel. For precautionary measures, I dropped in my 5000 series 1.85/1.55 ferrera valves to protect the seats. Well, the dremel slipped and now there's a decent gash across both valves (but the chamber somehow escaped any damage. Yes, I'm an idiot but the junk valves I had were either way too small to protect the seat or waaaay to big and wouldnt clear the plug boss.
I took them out, put them in a drill so they were spinning and touched the face of the valve to some 80 them 220 then 1000 grit sandpaper. So now theyre ok looking but maybe a few millimeters tinner and an eensy bit wavy but only on the face. The back of the valve is perfect and untouched. Can I still use them? I'd replace them but nobody seems to carry them in stock or list them on their websites
