About the race...to hard to tell. Too many variables involved...driver, car, some 302's run a heck of a lot better than others completly stock for example, but I would say with the combinations you described, it should be close. If the 5 speed car is well tuned and well driven, I would give them the slight edge.

DANG!

My friend has a 100% stock 90LX with exhaust and 273 gears. Right now I can just about keep up. I was hoping to come closer.

Anyhow, it will depend on the price you are asking for your GER.

Thanks

Ohh and here is some info on the PA valve body I bought. Sounds just like the Lentech but without the electric OD

====
Street/Strip Valve Body
The Performance Automatic street/strip valve body is designed for everyday street driving and weekend trips to the drag strip. Automatic shifts in the drive position and will hold 1st and 2nd gear manually. Tire chirping shifts when you want it. This valve body, which is featured in our Super Street transmission, is a direct bolt-in with no other modifications required.
====

MACH, can you explain what a normal day of driving would be like with this valve body? Example, if I place it into D it will go 1-2-3 right? And if I place it in OD it will go 1-2-3-OD? Now, how does it hold second? Would I need the hammer?

Thanks much

I e-mailed u the price on converter.

As far as the PA valve body, I can tell you how my GER valve body works. I assume they are the same, although Im not familiar with PA valve bodys for the AOD.

My GER shift pattern is 1,2,3-4

If you put it in "drive", it will start in first, then shift to second. The factory valve body will go from first into second and then third. see the difference? This is how it holds second. there is no shifter shuffle required. The hammer doesnt change the shifting of the tranny itself, its just a upgrade to the factory shifter mechanism.

then when you go to "OD" you get third and fourth. Mine will hold third until i let off the throttle, then will go into fourth gear.

hey Ian,
with 4:10's and that 2500rpm converter your going to have a pretty hard time keeping traction on street tires! i know once i put in my 3000rpm converter i could sping the tires with ease and i still have stock 2:73's. you might want to look into some stickey's, or baby it out of the hole.

Hey all,

Thanks for the info.

I am going to sell the PA valve body for $75 plus shipping. I am going to save for the Lentech. E-mail me if you want it. For more info look at:
