Default clutch question

I recently bought a 5.0 engine for my 95 LX mustang, the engine is a 95 as well. I plan on doing the swap next week...I still need to get a few things for it. I'm keeping the 3.8 tanny so I was curios as to what clutch to get. Do I need to get a clutch that goes with my 5.0 engine, or 3.8 tranny, or will they be the same size? Also, soes anyone know if the 5.0 has a governor on it? Any help or opinions would really help. Thanks.

I'm not sure if that tranny will bolt up to a 5.0 without changing the input shaft, I know the 4 cyl. trannys were different, not sure about the V-6's though. As for a governor, I assume your talking about a rev limiter, which is part of the EEC (computer) which I would think you will have to change as well.

Well, I wanted to leave this one alone, but I can't.

StangGuy, my friend, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but NONE of the equipment in your car is going to work with this engine. There are a MASSIVE number of things you will have to change to make this work. Here are just a few examples:

Electronic Control Module (computer)
All engine compartment wiring (injectors, sensors, etc.) that will be different for the v-8 engine.
Transmission (your v-6 unit will not work)
Transmission crossmember
Exhaust system
Front suspension components (springs in particular)
Front brake system (if you want to be able to stop)

Not to mention-

Driveshaft
Rear differential
Rear axles

Every one of these things are different in a V-8 model car.
