That is truly interesting...I was wondering about that myself...I wasn't sure whether the bigger pump would increase line pressure and make the need for the 50psi completely unnecessary, but you just answered my question. That makes me feel better. I'll adjust my pressure the same way you did and see where I land ...I'll see how it works out for me, and keep you updated. Just out of curiosity what compression are you running?Mines about 10:1 maybe even 10.5:1. You don't know how helpful it has been to know someone running almost the exact same setup....or maybe you do. Have you dynoed your car yet to get performance peaks?:D

50psi is way too much, if you upgraded injectors, then you surely dont need all that pressure, ExGMguy is right, 38-42 tops.

Going to the Dyno tomorrow. Before chip runs tomorrow and with chip sometime during the week. Had to verify A/F mixture with a voltmeter at the O2's to be sure I was ready. Will let you know... |
Finally I'm getting some real answers...I think 3 other people have told me 38-42 should be what I need...which makes me wonder about the guy that runs the dyno I'm going to. Hozer I'm interested to see what your dyno results will be... I'm getting money for an old set of ported cast iron GT40's I had... so a chip is in my near future also. Hope all goes well.
