Post High Grade Bolts

Loews carries a selection of automotive high grade bolts and fasteners. Do you think it's ok to use these for some suspension bolt replacement?

suspension bolts are "grade 8", if you have any question as to whether the ones a loews will cut it, don't use em! i had a helluva time finding replacement bolts when i redid my rear susp., your best bet is to be careful as you disassemble, so that they can stay in good shape. your local ford dealer *might* have the bolts you want.

Suspension bolts are metric. Mine were 9.6 and 10.8. I replaced them all with stainless steel 10.8s from a hardware store. My stock bolts were shot.

Stainless steel bolts are not as strong as grade 8's. I would not use them in any critical places like suspension ect...

A graded bolt is a graded bolt. The 10.8s I used are stronger than the 9.6 that were on there and they happen to be stainless steel.
