Question high RPM shut down

I have a problem with the car shutting off above 6500rpm (I mean off as in you have to hit the starter again not just missing or like the rev limiter). I am using a EFIsystems PMS to get passed the stock rev limiter, so I should have no problem running to 7 grand. Had the car dyno'd last year & it ran 7200 then. Heads have new springs so its not float. I had some distibutor problems & swapped in a stock unit. I have been through the wiring harness & can't find any problems. It's no a fuel problem the guage holds steady at 42 psi. Any ideas?
