Need recommendation for a high yorque starter for 351 windsor
I need a high torque starter for my 351. I had a CVR starter and it did not work so I sent it back. Are there any out there that just bolt on and don't have a 18 settings you have to try until you find the one that works? Any reccomendations would be greatly appreiciated. Also let me know where you got it. Thanks

Get a starter from a 1994-95(I think it's those years). They are smaller, lighter and high torque. They bolt right up to the 351w but you have to switch some wire around for it to work.

I run a CSI mini starter. Spins my 16:1 motor over like a breeze.

Just buy a Ford high torque or super high torques starter from an SVO dealer. Way cheaper than the CVR or CSI and cranks great. At least on my 14.5:1 motor. Summit sells them too.
