highway drivable/decent strip time?

I have a 94 gt and i am trying to figure out the best way to go to get a drivable car but still do a good strip time... right now i can drive my car anywhere and still do a high 13 on the strip... I like the idea of crate engines cause my car has 115k and i would feel better doing it all brand new again. But if anyone has any better ideas. I would like to get at least into the 12's or lower and still be able to drive it long distances if need be without an unreal amount of refueling. (already have nitrous) What would give me the best of both worlds... probably asking a lot.

What do you have already?

You're not asking too much. My car drives and idles great. We're hoping for 12.60's @ 110 next time out. I've only got 3.55s too so highway cruising is nice.

I have already got 3:73 gears, cold air induction, msd box (which i don't think is much help with the engine i have... not high enough compression) 65mm tb, zex dry nitrous kit (75 shot for right now) and stock everything else. I know i could get heads and a cam but like i said it has a lot of miles on it already. Thought about making this engine into a stroker after i put another in and have it as a spare.

What seems to be the hottest deal out now? And still driveable?

I have 4.30s, 28.5 x 8 tire, I figure my gas milage to be around 18-20mpg. I run 12.70s-30s @ 107- 111mph I have skinnies on the front also. I just had to drive 23 miles in the pouring down rain, the only trouble I had, was the defroster is gone and with the windows up it fogged the windshield. But I just deal with it. Its hard to run that fast with hardly any motor, you gotta giv up da good stuff.

Oh I forgot to tell you, my Yota is broke right now, so I use the ol workcar to pull my 4 wheeler to the track also.
