slipndrop
Well, I would say (assuming you have a clutch) slip and drop. Let the clutch slip until the car is moving and then drop the clutch. because a bog is always better than a burn.

Feathering the clutch out (slipping) will net you the results you're looking for. Once you feel it hooking, then drop the hammer and start shifting.

The best luck i've had with my car (2.1 60') was launching at 2k rpm and feathering the clutch slightly causing it to bog and spin both, hard to describe but you'll know it when it happens, took me a while driving mine to get it figured out......if you have 3.73's it'll be much easier.

Buy some slicks and pop the clutch at 6000rpm. Or get some drag radials and launch at 3500rpm or walk it off the line with street tires

2000-2500r's get it moving than dump the clutch and mash it you will bog. But you will be still moving forward. No burn! that wastes power, tires, and E.T.

Doesnt work that way
Doesnt work that way chris. lol, Im running Hoosier slicks at 14 psi and cant launch at over 4000 rpm. If your on street tires, dont do a big burn out, doesnt do any good for regular tires. and At the track in GAinsville, they dont water the burn out box for street tires, the water gets into the treads of the tires and that doesnt help. If they do at your track, go around the water. I also agree with shogun, Get there early try launching at different rpms, lowers first.
I'm still learning myself, my best 60 is 1.743. with 12.203 @ 117mph. As you can see, my launches are hurting me, My MPH is that of a car in the 11's |

If you are running street tires, don't let the air out, that don't work for street radials. Make sure you are at the max psi the manufacturer recommends. I see it all the time at our local strip, people airing down their street tires hoping to get a better bite. In actuality it creates a smaller contact patch. Ditto with the burnouts, heat hurts traction on street tires. Good luck
