Default Holley Systemax 300-501 Kit

This is the kit that comes with intake manifolds, cam, heads, timing chain, pushrods, and everything needed to get a car up to 350 HP N/A...

I found it for ~2300 online and I was wondering if there were any other places that sell it for a lower price?

More importantly , is this something I could install?!? Never done anything like it and all I have done on my car is the cold-air intake and exhaust (easy except getting it off ). If I didn't install it myself, how much should I expect to pay for someone else to install it?!

Thanks,
DoranW

Is this something I could reasonably do by myself? (given like a week).

Thanks,

Before you buy the kit, you should know there are other things you have to have before you install the kit. Some of these things include gaskets, 24 or 30pph injectors, 65mm tbody, 75 or bigger air meter, 1.6 or 1.7 rr, maybe valve covers(mine worked being a 92 but not all do),190 or bigger fuel pump. Thats off the top of my head so i`m sure I forgot something. If I were to do it over I think I wouldnt have got it though. If you order the kit make sure they dont send you the 1.90 heads by Brodix. They are crap. I found out that the valve guides are why i`m blowing oil out the exhaust with less than 1k miles. Good Luck what ever you decide.

Yeah, I was actually looking at the same kit. Actually, i was looking at the lower one that just comes with intake, cam, and heads w/ 1.6" RR's. I know the one your talking about (if i'm correct) does come with some other stuff, like a 70mm Throttle body. I think the only thing that it doesn't include is the 24 or 30 lb/hr injectors (which it says you hafto have) and the 190lb/hr fuel pump. And i think you have to go with bigger valve covers as well, although that might only be if you get 1.7" RR's. Someone told me before that the kit with the Bigger throttle body and the heads was like...$2562 out of ...some magazine. Also i talked to my friend, and he told me that it would most likely take around 2-4 days depending on how many people you have working on it. Only thing that sucks is that kit comes with shorty headers. Which I'd personally prefer to have full length's. But who knows maybe they would interchange some things for ya (most likely at a price)

If anyone is interested on a set of these holley heads I have a brand new set. Send me a message and I'll cut you a deal. Remember these heads retail for 1300 from summit. I have one set left.
