Hood scoop
 

I was wondering if anyone knows the correct location to install the hood scoop on an 83 GT? I know it should be centered left to right, but how far forward is the opening from the rear of the hood. The stock scoop has the opening facing rearward.

From the very end of the scoop(the two little pointy tips) I would guess about 1 1/2 inch from the end of the hood, but that's just a guess. I would go to www.mustanggt.org and email them to find out, I'm sure they'd know. You could look at a pic of a stock one too and figure it out from that. Hope this helps somewhat!
