which hood should i get?
my friend break checked on me and i need a new hood. i just wanted some opinions on whether i should get a Super mach 1 with a 2.5 in cowl or the cobra r hood. Its goin on an emerald green 92 LX.
i personally think that the mach 1 style hoods look better on GT's. I think that Cobra R hood would look pretty slick on an LX though. IMO
It really depends on what you like better. Like stated before in the first reply, he likes Mach 1's on a GT..Personally I like the Cobra R's, and really don't like the Mach 1's on anything. So I say get what you like...Or surf through readers rides and check them out to get ideas....

I like the SVO hood on the fox cars- there not so common. Second choice would be the mach 1 though. Just my opinion
I like the SVO R hoods on GTs personally
But now that I look closer and see that you have an LX, I personnaly like a small (2.5) Mach 1, but it's whatever you like.

Harwood
I have a 2.5in. cowl inducted Harwood fiberglass hood and love it. You don't need to use hoodpins...it latches great and lines up real good.
I don't reccomend getting a cincinnati composite. Don't go cheap or else you won't like it.

agreed

is cincinatti comp the only one that makes the mach 1 hood??? I like how it looks but i dont want something cheap.

www.cervinis.com, best hoods and body parts on the market
Cervini's do make great products..I bought their 93 cobra wing and stalker fpront for an 88GT I had and they fit great. But Harwood & Keanan(sp) make good products also. I have a Keanan on my 86 now and it fits nice.
i have the cobra R hood on my LX, check it out on my website. And also check it out in the FOR SALE section!:)
I personally dont care for either of your two choices, but thats just my opinion...
I did the Harwood 2-1/2" cowl: http://www.dariusrudis.com/mustang/svtoa/SVTOA_035.jpg |
Yea ive definately decided to go with the stormin normin 2.5 cowl...after looking at cervinis website i decided that that was the best. Ill prolly get the full kit later on.
