Post How can you tell if...........

How would I be able to tell if my '88GT has been lowered or not? It just seems to set a little lower than usual and it handles VERY well for a 13yr old car. I looked under the car but nothing "appears" to be replaced recently. The rear shocks were replaced, I think, because they are blue. The wheels and tires are factory 225/60/15

maybe by the color of the rear springs? my stock springs still had some paper on them from the factory..green tags i think??? and that is an '89 w/ 100,000 miles.
Not sure though. oh the stock ones are black...but so are a lot of others.

I looked under the car today and the springs "look" like they are a light blue but I'm not sure because of some rust. I didn't see any factory sticker like NOS_Nothch did.
Any ideas!
I guess I could measure the height of the car to tell for sure.

You never know. it may actually be stock. Even with a smaller rear sway bar than later models my car handles like a champ (i don't push it that much, so i haven't tested the limits or anything) and all my friends ask if i've put aftermarket suspension on it. My car also sits kinda low it looks like, but the previous owners were too cheap to mod it so i know it's stock. GT mustangs handle pretty well for a stock vehicle so i can believe yours hasn't been modded.

If there light blue, I can garantue that there not stock unless someone painted them. Look at how thick the coils are and if theres any names on them. Measuring ride height won't help any because cars sink after awhile, as the springs wear out.
