Default GT40 Heads?

I know eveybody thinks that people can do better then GT-40 heads. But With the price of only 610 completely assembled for GT-40X Alluminum 64cc heads... Who can compete with that price? I mean if somebody would tell me cause that is what i plan on using on my 306 engine im building?

Where are you getting this $610 price from? It must mean for 1 head completely assembled.

But if for some reason it is for the assembled pair, then definately go for it.

Yup, $600 sounds like about half of what I normally see them for. You better check your prices again!

They are much better heads (than GT40Y's or GT40P's)

Default ive checked

Summit wants 630 for completely assembled but i found them a little bit cheaper in other places.
Here's the part number too if you want to check yourselves FMS-M-6049-X303

And for a bare head they want 500
FMS-M-6049-X302

So that brings me to my orginal question... With my bugget how can i beat that?

Default I checked again

I think your right... I think it comes as only one head... That would explain why they would be so cheap... That would have been sweet... Finally get the order in and find out that you only have one. That would have been awsome.

I just never thought about it... i guess It never accured to me that it would only come one at a time... But it makes sence now i think about it... You mess up one head some-how you would only need one to replace it.

If you are looking to get a set of heads cheap, then look into the GT40P's. They are a great head for the money, and respond very well to porting and higher compression. Jeff Chambers runs them and is whooping arse in Street Warrior, I think he put something like 360hp to the wheels with gasket matched P heads

Summit has them fully assembled for the PAIR for like $539. But you'll also have to get a set of the FRPP headers to fit. Stock headers fit too, so you could run those for a little while if cash is an issue.

good luck
