HOW DO I ADVANCE MY TIMING

HOW DO I ADVANCE MY TIMING ON MY 90 5.0?

with a timing light, don't even attempt it without one...

hook-up the light, point the light at the harmonic balancer (with the engine running).. and you'll see timing marks..

turn the dist till you get the timing you want (to turn the dist. you'll have to loosen the hold down nut)..

What he said, but don't forget to pull the SPOUT connector before checking, and replace it after setting the timing.

Take care

WHERE IS THE SPOUT CONNECTOR

the spout connector is connected to the same wiring as the TFI module which located on the distributor, you'll have to fish out the spout connector, it should be on the right(driver) side of the dist. its just some wiring with a connector at the end (i think its a jumper), you have to pull out the connector before you advance your timing and then put it back before your done, if you dont put it back your car will run like absolute $hit
turn the distributor clockwise to advance the timing, try about 14 degrees first and go from there, good luck
