![]() It is not that hard, get under the car and remove the clutch cable. You then need to get some kind of hook tool to make it a little easer, get under the dash and pull the pin holding the quadrant on.
Slide the old one off and replace it with the new one and replace the pin and the cable. It is not that hard. ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX |

![]() Definitey pull the front seat before you try to change the clutch quadrant- It's really tight quarters- even with the seat out of the car.

![]() Took me about half an hour to do my quadrant and firewall adjuster, and I didn't remove the front seat. I'm pretty small though, I also recommend removing the driver seat. I also didn't have to disconnect the cable at the bellhousing end, but that's cause my stock adjuster was busted (slack in the cable).

![]() I put in a Forte quadrant and firewall adjuster in this summer, while doing the Tremec TKO.
THe hardest part was getting the old quadrant OFF the pedal assembly. THere is a pesky spring that wont let it come off easily. I wrestled with that (upside-down, under the dash) for about 30 minutes. Once that was done, the rest of the job was another 30 minutes, and a piece of cake. ------------------ Darius Rudis Roadracer: Home built t-arm/panhard suspension powered by an S-trimmed motor :-) ![]() |

![]() Changing the quadrant to an aftermarket adjustable cable and quadrant is very simple. Unhook the cable under the car then push the seat back get under the dash and just pull the pins and slide the old one off. The new one will slide right in. Just remember to replace the pins
