how loud would it be if....
I had longtube headers, an offroad H pipe, and sraight pipes without mufflers right out the back? Would I be breaking windows and getting pulled over left and right or what?

I'll post .mp3s when I cut my pipes off. It'll be the stock headers...and...nothing else.

You asked how loud you would be. I have a 91 5.0lx full length headers h-pipe then 2 1/2 inch pipes out the rear. You would not be able to run on the streets without getting pulled over. When I take my car out in the country and romp on her a bit my wife can hear me back at our house 3 miles away. Thats not an exageration. I also noticed I lost some of my power off the line when i dropped my mufflers. I have made a .mp3 of the sound in the past but when you rev it all you hear is distortion because its just too loud. Hope this helps ya out.

Yes, you'll 'break windows' and get pulled over constantly, guaranteed. You'll also damage your hearing if you drive the car for long distances. Bad idea. Most mods have a point of diminishing returns...exhaust loudness is one of these things. Don't do it. |
