![]() i was wondering what heads would be good to run with a compucam 2031 cam with stock pistons? if i can run the edelbrock rpms with 2.02's or not? would the valves hit?

![]() I'm not positive, but I think those valves might hit. Also, what manifold do you have-the performer rpm's might be a tad large unless you have a decent manifold. I installed that same cam on a stock shortblock with 1.6 rockers and edelbrock performer heads with no problems, should work easily with the GT40's too like the other post said. Plus, how can you beat the price of GT40 heads!

![]() my engine consists of a trickflow street intake, 24lbs, 75mm mass air, 70mm tbody, 2031 cam, mac headers, hpipe, catback, 1.7 rollers, how do you think the edelbrock performers would work? i can get them from my work for cheap? where can i get gt40s? not the gt40ps because i already have new headers?

![]() Edelbrock performers would be the perfect head for your combination...go for it..and get the 1.90's, not the 2.02's

![]() Why would Edelbrocks be better for the TFS Intake? Makes no sense to me. The TFS Intake is made to go with the TFS heads, and bottom line, the TFS TW heads kill the Edelbrock 1.90's.

![]() TFS TW heads would go best with TFS intake. They're pretty much port matched out of the box, and, yes, they are designed to go together. You won't have the valve clearance problems, either.
Given the choices on the table, Edelbrock performers or GT-40s, Edelbrock would be best. My guess would be that price matters. ------------------ 351W 89 Mustang GT Convertible |
