i MAY get to a track one more time before i install everything, and i know my car has atleast a 13.5 in it, maybe 13.4 i gained over 3 tenths over my best at one track (14.08 to 13.76) and my best AOD run was a 13.77 at a different track, hopefully i can get up there soon and hit a 13.4 what kinda gains am i looking at guys? aproximate hp? ~ 10-15 with stock ported heads? what about et/mph? thanks guys ------------------ 88 Notch, B&M Ripper, 3.73's, Ported E7's, Explorer int. w/ ported lower, pulleys, 1.7RR's, BBK headers, off-road H-pipe, flowmasters, subframes, 65mm TB, March ram air ,MSD coil, U/L control arms, 155lph f/p, Crane Adj.FPR, Nitto drag radials, best 1/4--> 13.76@101.4 on a 2.17 60ft |

![]() Too bad there will be some people here telling you the b-cam is designed to work with carbuereted cars,(which mayb be true) but i personally think the specs that it has will give you nice midrange and topend, and should work well with the explorer intk.
port those heads and i would say 13.5 about 104-5mph no problem, so you have a t-5 now? good luck, and i know everyones is gonna say the e-cam is better, blah blah ![]() ------------------ 90 lx coupe: 5spd, energy susp trans mounts, fms hd clutch, Mac coldair fenderwell, Mac h-pipe, supercoil, ADS chip, 160 stat, aluminum D/S, Black magic fan, 3.27grs. ![]() yah its a T-5 now, and my stock heads are already ported
why would the E cam be better? because of more lift? if thats the case, i have 1.7RR's so the lift will actually be .510" instead of .480" with the B cam the B has 224/224 duration compared to the E with 220/220, how is the E cam better? ------------------ 88 Notch, B&M Ripper, 3.73's, Ported E7's, Explorer int. w/ ported lower, pulleys, 1.7RR's, BBK headers, off-road H-pipe, flowmasters, subframes, 65mm TB, March ram air ,MSD coil, U/L control arms, 155lph f/p, Crane Adj.FPR, Nitto drag radials, best 1/4--> 13.76@101.4 on a 2.17 60ft |

![]() The E cam vs B cam debate has gone on for a while.
Ford recommends the E cam for automatics, and the B cam for sticks. The B cam has less LSA, more duration, and less lift. You don't need a lot of lift on stock heads, and the additional duration will be nice. I would expect favorable results with the B cam. |
