How to properly relive the fuel pressure?
The title says it all.

Just take the cap off of the shrader valve on the hard fuel line by the intake, and use a rag and a pen to push in the valve. That should do it.
If your car has been sitting for a while, the pressure ussually goes down so you won't need to relieve it. After you finish your work, prime the system by cycling the key to on then off a few times. Then check for leaks, and start the car. |
Another way...
The easiest way (and cleanest) is to unplug the fuel relay in the trunk. Crank the car for a few seconds with it unplugged and you are done. Make sure to plug it back in when you are finished or you will be like
